About the film: When Paris Met Florence is a film about a
young travel writer (Paris) who unexpectedly finds his way traveling through
Europe. The movie begins on film and ends on film. But the characters in the
film world and the viewers will get to watch Paris travel through Europe and
watch it unfold into a reality TV style drama. The travel footage will be
compiled with hidden cameras, Super 8 film and DV and high definition video to
create different points of view. Each camera will represent a different
perspective of Paris' adventure. Nothing is scripted, however. The vacation is
improvised and nothing that happens can be predicted.
Distribution: When
Paris Met Florence hopes to land time at film festivals, TV or directly to
DVD sales in local video rental stores. Plans for theatrical release are not
yet determined but not improbable.
Target audience:
teenagers to young adults and beyond. The viewer is supposed to see what Europe
is like and bring them closer to the life of young travelers.
